Already know what you want and need in your home? You're on the way to creating the new build of your dreams - but by working with an expert who can see things from a different perspective, you can make it even better! Take this client's entry - they wanted (and needed) a beautiful entryway to display their art, and we had a restriction that required the space to be long. Could it have stayed the same height as everywhere else? Of course. But by ✔️ lifting the ceiling ✔️ adding the pendants ✔️ and including a high window We were able to get a ton of natural light into the space. It went from dark to airy and light - perfect for displaying art! Designing a home requires a LOT of decisions, and sometimes you just don't know what you don't know. Having a professional residential planner on your side can help you see options you may not have even thought of - making sure your home isn't just great, it's the best it can be. Have you ever seen this in a home ⬇️ A brand new 2,000 square foot home, but the laundry room is basically a closet 🤦‍♀️ Laundry definitely isn’t fun, but the average person spend 182 hours a year (that’s 7.6 full days EVERY year!) doing it, so it needs to be in a space that makes laundry easier. Instead of well thought out spaces, I see laundry rooms overlooked all the time- creating cramped layouts, no space to fold or hang clothes, and zero storage. Obviously if you’re working with an existing home your options may be limited, but when your home is being designed from the ground up, every space needs to be (and can be) intentional. This is where good space planning makes all the difference. If you’re building a home you need someone (hey, hi) thinking through all the details before they become a problem, and you hate doing laundry even more.
